that surround your home and hearth.

needs to be swept out the door to lead to better balance and to cleanse
your home and life.

your home and life. There are narrative in which I study the layout and relationships between the cards. This
is where I really dig in, and look at the relationships between the
cards, and the special meanings the cards take on because of their
positions. The overview is something many clients say keeps giving them
information for some time to come.... It keeps unfolding.

This is a very satisfying and insightful reading.
Sometimes your life or home seems to have a
miasma of bad juju- lousy luck or stinky spirits lingering in the air. Try a purification ritual to clear your home,
and cleanse your vibes.
Purification Broom Create an herbal broom to give your home a "clean
sweep".
What
you need: A branch from a fallen tree (No fallen trees? Use a foot long
dowel)
Gather
the herbs or greens in the morning or evening, the new moon is a very
good time. Leave 4 to 6 inch stems. You can use
a collection of herbs, or one variety. (The broom above is made of
lavender. )
Choose a time to gather greens when you are feeling
peaceful. Use your gathering time as a visualization
opportunity. As you select the plants visualize the your home the
way you would like it to be- calm, free of angst, full of positive
energy.
Gather the cuttings into small bundles, and tie each with raffia or
hemp. Then, tie a long piece of raffia or hemp to the tree branch. Press the herb bundles close to the branch, with the plant heads
extending over the end of the stick (in a broomy-fashion) , and use the
long piece of twine to tie the bundles firmly to the branch. Tie up the
loose send of twine, and your broom is created!
Now, use your broom to sweep away the negativity.
Start at your front door, and open the door, using a sweeping motion,
force the bad influences outside. (The sweeping motion of the air
is enough, if your broom is fragile you don't have to actually sweep the
floor) Now, move through your house, in a clockwise direction, sweeping
the air at all the windows and doors. Chase the bad energy before
you, and make a full circle through your house, ending back at the front
door. Open it up and swoosh the energy out and away.
Next, dismantle your broom. My dried lavender or sage I will
light, then blow out, and wave the smoky branches around my house like a
smudge. (Be careful, don't set your house on fire.) Or, bury the
herbs and branch or your smudging leftovers in your yard, in the
moonlight. Or, burn all in a fireplace or
bonfire.
