I kept looking for some simple tips to enter the world of Feng Shui, and here are 6 quick ones.

I found links to Karen Rauch Carter's work on the ivillage network. Her book is Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life (What's not to love about that concept…) Here's a transcript of a chat with her, it's full of great real-life questions and answers about Fen Shui.

Having trouble sleeping? Maybe it's where you've got your bed.  Feeling broke? Add mirrors to your kitchen.
Feng Shui for your closet- That 50 percent real-estate rule she talks about here is not possible for me. What about you? I believe I have more hope of achieving some sort of feng shui balance with my desk, than I do with my closet. How does your desk rate?

Pictures of our Spring redecorating project-

View from Kitchen into the living room. At the top of the picture you can see our archway, and the shade of yellow we painted the kitchen.  (It's Martha Stewart, "Firefly") We are wallpaper free in our kitchen for the first time in 20 years.

Standing at my desk and looking at the living room. (it's a lonnnng room)  We painted the ceiling a pale green, to make the room smaller and add warmth.   I'm going to make draped fabric valances in here.

This is my desk, anyone who has ordered readings, this is where it happens.

Here is my desk, it's vintage officeware, like an acre in size.  Actually, it was my Uncle Ronald's desk, and he always had necco wafers in the drawer.  This is where I do my readings.

This is my kitchen windowsill.  I have a collection of stuff, a storyteller figure and a little cabin from my sweet sister Nancy.
